Manolis est un metteur en scène de théâtre basé à Tiohtiá:ke/Montréal. Il s'est installé au Canada en 2014, laissant derrière lui sa carrière dans la production théâtrale en Grèce et dans son pays d'origine. Son principal centre d'intérêt artistique est la langue et les frontières, explorant à la fois la façon dont elles peuvent nous diviser et, plus important encore, la façon dont elles peuvent nous rassembler. Travaillant dans les deux langues officielles du Canada, le français et l'anglais, il est constamment à la recherche de « l'espace entre » où différents sons, langues, silences et codes peuvent coexister.

Manolis a obtenu un baccalauréat en théâtre de l'Université Concordia (2018) et une maîtrise en mise en scène de l'Université d'Ottawa (2022). En 2017, il fonde Boulouki Théâtre, avec lequel il met en scène et produit plusieurs œuvres, dont *Medeamaterial* de Heiner Müller (2018), *Illusions* d'Ivan Viripaev (2019) - qui a été en nomination pour un prix META dans la catégorie Outstanding Independent Production - et la pièce originale *The Future is Another Country* (2021) au MAI (Montréal Arts Interculturels). En mars 2023, il a dirigé des acteurs francophones dans *Le Virus et la Proie* de Pierre Lefebvre pour le programme de théâtre de l'Université d'Ottawa, et en mai 2023, il a mis en scène une version bilingue de *Illusions* de Viripaev présentée par le Théâtre Catapulte à Ottawa.
Actuellement, Manolis est un artiste invité en résidence à l'Université Bishop's de Sherbrooke, où il mettra en scène une adaptation du *Petit Prince* d'Antoine de Saint-Exupéry en mars 2025. Il développe également la performance originale *À flot(s)*, dont une première version sera présentée au festival ACTORAL à Ottawa en octobre 2022.
Au cours de la saison 2023-2024, il est artiste en résidence à Espace Libre, où il développe *Petits Appareils/Small Appliances*, dont la première aura lieu le 28 octobre 2025. Au cours de la saison 2024-2025, il est artiste en résidence au Théâtre Prospero, où il développe *Ne vous faites pas de souci*, un projet basé sur le livre de Sophie Calle *Des Histoires Vraies*, dont la première aura lieu le 7 avril 2026.

Manolis is a theatre director based in Tiohtiá:ke/Montréal. He moved to Canada in 2014, leaving behind both his career in theatre production in Greece and his home country. His primary artistic focus is on language and borders, exploring both how they can divide us and, more importantly, how they can bring us together. Working in both of Canada’s official languages, French and English, he is constantly seeking "the space between" where different sounds, languages, silences, and codes can coexist.
Manolis holds a BFA in Theatre from Concordia University (2018) and an MFA in Directing from the University of Ottawa (2022). In 2017, he founded Boulouki Théâtre, with which he has directed and produced several works, including *Medeamaterial* by Heiner Müller (2018), *Illusions* by Ivan Viripaev (2019) — which was nominated for a META award for Outstanding Independent Production — and the original piece *The Future is Another Country* (2021) at MAI (Montréal Arts Interculturels). Currently, Manolis is an invited artist-in-residence at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, where he will be staging an adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's *Le Petit Prince* in March 2025. He is also developing the original performance *À flot(s)*, with an initial version presented at the ACTORAL festival in Ottawa in October 2022.
